Full Description

Specifies dimensions and general requirements for finish and shape of low carbon steel and non-ferrous split cotter pins. The definition of length, for designation of split pins, is given as the length of the shorter leg. A preferred range of standard sizes in terms of diameter-length combinations is included. An appendix indicates the relationship between sizes in this Standard and in a draft ISO Recommendation. For metric pins see AS 1236.
