This standard applies to band saws. It will supersede AS/NZS 60745.2.20:2003, Hand-held motor-operated electric tools - Safety - Part 2.20: Particular requirements for band saws, two years from publication. During this period it is anticipated that regulatory authorities will approve band saws to either standard.
